Parry Sound to Byne Inlet and Wright's Marina off of Georgian Bay

Great place! We stopped here for two nights. This is a full service marina. Jack wanted to have the Inverter checked. Two of the three Inverter batteries were getting warm to hot and frequently required adding water. The mechanic assessed the problem and determined two out of the three failed their load test. We are now the proud owners of three new Inverter Batteries!

In addition, we discovered we have been changing the oil more often than necessary or required. This news will save some money. Always welcome news to a boater.

This was a good stop. We met Joe and his wife. He is a retired Master Electrician and together they have boated these waters for 39 years. He offered to go over the area charts with us. In addition, he pointed out the best anchorages and gave Jack an overview of the North Channel. Canadian Boaters are generous with their time and their knowledge. Very nice people!

Several Looper Boats are here and of course a sense of community and support is always present when Loopers gather. As are cocktails! :-)

Coming off of Georgian Bay after  63 miles and entering Byne (pronounced bing) Inlet.

Byne Inlet is fairly narrow and you definitely want to stay between the channel markers.

Cottage on Byne Inlet

More cottages…..

More cottages…...

And still more cottages.

Dock tails on a cool evening at Wright's marina in Britt, ON. Our friends Rob and Linda and their boat ERRANTE in the background.

ICE CREAM ON YHE ROCKS!
Cute name for a great ice cream shop.

Notice the cow bell on the hand rail.

The owner lived in the house behind the shop. So, if you wanted service, just pick up the cow bell and give it a ring.
