Orillia Scottish Fest

One of the great things about small towns in Canada, and the United States as well, is their great community spirit.

We are in Orillia, ON, watching the parade for the Scottish Festival. Many, many organizations had their Bagpipers out in force and they all competed for the first place award.

Even the undertaker and his horse drawn hearse was in the parade.

Our good friends from the Vessel "Assisted Living", Rick and Anne Davis and some Canadian friends enjoying a night on the town.

The "boys" and "girls".

  1. Hey there Sally! I take time to visit your blog periodically but never comment, so here goes...the semester has begun here at your previous residence, and all has gone about the same. We miss ya, but what experiences you are having. I'm rereading my Scottish Highlander (The Outlander) book series, so was drawn to this particular spot with "men in kilts" on the blog today. Maybe we could create a class around your trip?? So educational! Kaye
